This is a thorough edit of your manuscript and will include two full read throughs. I will focus on sentence structure, grammar, and syntax as well as fact-checking, consistency, readability, and more. I’ll check for correct tense, style, and frequently repeated words or phrases. Along with the edits and comments on your manuscript, you’ll get a Style Guide & Editorial Feedback that will highlight your strengths and include suggestions for improvement.

Proofreading

This is the final step in the editing process. I will check your manuscript for grammar, syntax, punctuation, and spelling errors. This will not include comments or editorial feedback, if your manuscript still needs that you will need to book a developmental or line editing service.

About me

Hello fellow book babes, indie authors, and everyone in between. My name is Hannah, I’m a Flight Attendant by day and book editor by night. When I’m not traveling or reading, I spend my time learning new recipes, spoiling my fur babies, and doing yoga. I can’t go a day without an iced coffee and will never say no to a beach trip. I rotate between reading many different genres but my favorites are Romance & Thrillers.

I read 50+ books a year and enjoy a variety of genres.

During the editing process I’ll offer suggestions and changes based off my experience, various style guides, and genre conventions. With that in mind, please don’t take any constructive criticism or feedback personally. My advice, whether you work with me or any other editor, is to take some time after reviewing the edits and let any emotional responses you have settle.

Remember, at the end of the day, it’s your book, and you’re putting your name on it. I want it to be something you’re proud of and feel comfortable putting out into the world. All my edits are suggestions that you can feel free to skip if that’s what you feel is best.
